The timings to conduct driving tests in Sharjah have been extended by two-and-a-half hours to accommodate larger number of applicants daily, it was announced on Sunday. Accordingly, the timings for conducting the test now are from 7.30am to 7.30pm instead of the earlier 7.30am to 5pm.
Lt.-Col. Majid Al Nuaimi, head of drivers licensing section, said the move is aimed at helping the maximum number of driving licence applicants give their tests at the earliest "instead of waiting for months".
"We are making all efforts to help the new drivers get their driving licences in the shortest time possible," said Lt.-Col. Al Nuaimi.
