The Sharjah Shariah Court has charged two Asians for stealing air-conditioners and building material from warehouses. During the court hearing, the two suspects confessed to the crime and said they broke open the door of the warehouse and committed the crime. The stolen goods were transported in a pick-up van.
The presiding judge told the suspects to recruit a lawyer as the crime they committed entails serious punishment including amputation of hands. The suspects claimed they do not have a lawyer and hence the hearing has been adjourned for a later date.
In another case, an Emirati was charged by the court for stabbing 12 people in a gang fight that happened in Al Qasba, Sharjah. The case has been adjourned to March 1.
