Suspicious Dubai expat caught on camera snooping on cars

The Dubai Police have arrested a man after a video showing him snooping on parked cars in Jumeirah area went viral on social media. 
Colonel Fiassal Al Qasimi, director of media section at Dubai Police, said the footage of the Asian man spying on cars created panic among residents. He added the man, who works for a contracting company and has an absconding report filed against him, is now in police custody. He will soon be referred to the public prosecution for further legal procedures.
Al Qasimi said that the Dubai Police are committed about community safety. He urged the people to refrain from publishing or circulating any video or photo on social media platforms that may affect the sense of safety and security of people and spark unnecessary fear among residents. "Such actions are prohibited by local laws," he warned.
Al Qasimi called on the public to directly report any suspicious activity to the Dubai Police by calling 999 in case of an emergency or 901 in non-emergency situations. 
Earlier, some residents had taken to social media, warning Netizens about the suspect. They said he snooped around their cars and tried to open their doors. One resident said the suspect went around with a "plastic bag", asking for money. Some others said he targeted only women.
