Sharjah Police has reduced the speed limit on Maliha Road, effective from February 1, 2017.
The Sharjah Police Traffic and Patrol department issued the decision to reduce the speed limit on the road which - extending from the Al Bade bridge until the Sheikh Khalifa Street exit.
The speed has been reduced from 120km/h to 100 km/h.
This comes under the Interior Ministry's road safety strategy, in order to reduce traffic accidents The popular road will also undergo maintenance work and development by the Ministry of Infrastructure Development.
Sharjah Police has called upon all motorists and road users to abide by the rules and regulations while driving on internal and external roads and adhere to speed limits, be diligent and focus on the road while driving, for their safety and the safety of others.
Traffic accidents have resulted in injuries, loss of lives and properties, in turn negatively affecting the community.
