Sharjah Police has launched a noise detecting radar which can pick up vehicle sounds. This project comes in response to the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. The launch of the device is in line with the directions of the Ministry of Interior to increase safety on the roads and provide security and comfort to the public.
Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, launched the noise control device in the presence of Lt.-Col. Mohammed Alai Al Naqbi, Director of Traffic and Patrol Department, Colonel Rashid Al Fardan, Head of Traffic Engineering Department and a number of Sharjah Police officers.
The device will be distributed in various residential areas. It was developed by officers, personnel, and staff of Sharjah Police General Directorate at a laboratory belonging to the Traffic and Patrols Department.
