Garnacho and Mainoo were two of United's bright sparks in a disappointing season in which they finished a worst-ever eighth in the Premier League era
As per court records, the case unfolded when the duo had a heated argument over a wrong recipe for the dish 'salona'.
The duo allegedly swore at each other and got involved in a brawl in which the suspect used a sharp knife he brought from the kitchen to stab his roommate (victim) in his hand.
As per the forensic report, the victim suffered a permanent disability in his hand after the suspect slashed his wrist.
The duo was referred to the RAK public prosecution which charged them both with swearing and assaulting each other.
However, the second suspect was also charged with causing a permanent disability in the hand of the victim.
The case was referred to the RAK criminal court where the man who attacked his roommate with the knife said he was up in arms after the victim insulted him when he blamed him for incorrectly cooking salona.
The victim denied the charges saying: "I have never ever insulted or assaulted him."
He added that the defendant harshly insulted him for using a wrong recipe in cooking salona, and then slashed his hand that he developed a permanent disability.
The court ordered adjournment of the case to a later time for giving a ruling.
