The Ajman Criminal Court has sentenced a 28-year-old Ethiopian maid to three years imprisonment followed by deportation for stealing jewellery and clothes from her female sponsor.
According the court records, the 58-year-old sponsor reported to the police that she suspected her maid of stealing her gold jewellery and expensive clothes. The woman said that she discovered that her clothes have been disappearing from time to time and later it was found that her daughter's rings and her jewellery were missing. When she asked the maid, she said she didn't see any of them.
The police searched the house and recovered the stolen items from the room of the maid.
