The Ministry of Infrastructure Development has launched a unique initiative, whereby the lampposts on the federal roads shall be rented exclusively to Emirati nationals.
The first-of-its-kind initiative gives the UAE citizens an opportunity to re-rent these lampposts for promotion and advertising purposes and make profit.
Hassan Mohammed Juma Al Mansuri, undersecretary at the ministry, said: "The ministry is currently counting the lampposts and venues available for rent and potential rates, along with the ad board design and size."
All these details and others shall be disclosed later after settling everything with the entities that support youth projects in every emirate, Al Mansuri added. The lamppost ads on the federal roads will secure good revenues to the Emiratis, he added.
"The country is witnessing a massive leap in urban development projects and companies wish to promote their products on the federal roads."
