The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received a message from President Abdulla Yaameen Abdul Gayyoom of the Republic of Maldives, focusing on bilateral ties and ways of enhancing them in various fields.

Dunya Maumoon, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, during an audience at the ministry's offices in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.
The ministers tackled a variety of topics of mutual concern and discussed ways of boosting bilateral ties and cooperation in a manner that serves mutual interests. They also exchanged views on a wide range of regional and international issues of common interest.
Further, Shaikh Abdullah emphasised the UAE's keenness to bolster ties between the two countries.
For her part, the foreign minister of the Maldives expressed her gratitude to the UAE for its support of economic, social and energy development in the Indian Ocean nation
