The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) in Fujairah, named one of the best performing government centres, has pledged to provide more convenient and faster services to the public.
The emirate's ICA was among the five centres that earned the two-month salary reward for all staff members.
But according to its manager, Ahmad Al Abdool, achieving the top ranking is "not the end".
"It's only the start of a long journey towards excellence and success."
He said they were overwhelmed when they were recognised as one of the best out of 600 government centres all over the country.
"This quantum leap in customer service is the fruit of commitment, dedication, and teamwork, in line with the directives of the leadership."
From the start, the centre already had a clear vision and a consistent policy to streamline procedures and exceed customers' expectations, Al Abdool said.
"We have made use of the latest technologies to ensure a satisfactory experience for our customers and put a smile on their faces.
"We pledge to keep it up; live up to the expectations of the UAE government; and always aim for the highest standards in customer satisfaction."
