A career spanning 19 years in various government entities is the strength of Federal National Council (FNC) hopeful Hammad Abdulla bin Hammad.
Speaking to Khaleej Times about his priorities in contesting the polls, the FNC Candidate 229 said: "I will pave the way for new generations to better link the past, present and future."
Hammad Abdulla has set his election top agenda to provide the Emirati youth and women with facilities which would help them become 'owners of famous brand names worldwide'.
Hammad, who is the Director of the National Council of Tourism and Antiquities, added that he wants to come up with an exceptional formula that interlinks UAE history and traditions with the latest developments.
"I am all set to create a promising generation coping with latest developments but sticking to national identity and traditions. Innovation is the language of the age, and an inevitable method in all walks of life, including government services."
Providing Emirati woman with job facilities and other advantages is also on top of Hammad's agenda."Empowering women here has always been a priority to the UAE prudent leadership, and therefore we are following and promoting the same visionary track."
Working women should enjoy more flexible duty hours, and given special parking spaces, and enough breaks, particularly for pregnant women, he said. "Also those with children must be taken care of." Young people do have good opportunities here and can do lots of things, he said.
"If I were an FNC member, I would accelerate this process and provide local youth with all the facilities needed, mainly for small and medium-sized projects, and help them be owners of famous brand names worldwide."
It is high time to adopt the right plans and programmes that support creativity and innovative people, be they in the public or private sector, Hammad added.
"To do so, all the facilities required must be provided to encourage creativity, considering it as a main asset for sustainable development."
Young people, who are open to smart technologies and high-tech devices, should have their awareness developed about the risks and traps overwhelming social media, he underlined.
"They need to be alerted about evil things therein and inspired to seek good stuff," he said, proposing the enactment of a law to protect new generations against such possible hazards. Hammad, who has obtained an executive master of business administration and a diploma in computer information processing, promotes a quartet-pillar electoral programme.
"I pledge to stand by aspirant young entrepreneurs in both public and private sectors, and support short and medium enterprises." "This essential sector needs an investment arm to boost its profits by entering into profitable partnerships with successful groups, such as Emaar and Emirates Airlines."
Hammad, father of a son and daughter, urged the UAE voters to vote for whoever they believe to be the most reliable, honest, and competent for such a critical position to better voice their concerns and exert his or her utmost effort for the benefit.
The FNC hopeful promises to use his 19-year experience in government and semi-government entities, spanning health, telecommunication, transport, housing, economy and tourism to support out of the box thinking.
Hammad, who is a certified HR expert, and certified customer services expert, has also adopted a series of pioneering proposals for increasing pension revenues for the service of both the nation and nationals.
