A 30-year-old Emirati was killed in an accident when the car he was driving hit against a heavy truck on Emirates Road, Dubai.
Colonel Jamal Al Banai, acting director of the General Department of Traffic said the accident took place on Thursday at around 10 in the morning at the Al Khawaneej exit towards Sharjah.
Investigations showed that the truck was moving on the correct lane and the traffic was slow. The speeding driver who was coming from behind lost control over his vehicle and collided with the truck. Due to the impact of the collision, the vehicle swerved to the right and collided with a pick-up.
The driver died on the spot, and the body has been referred to forensic department for further investigations.
