The Dubai Police's Executive Council for Happiness and Positive Energy launched the 'Holiday Makers' initiative for more than 7,000 employees of the force.
Awatif Al Suwaidi, executive director of the Executive Council for Happiness and Positive Energy, affirmed that employees and clients are a priority for Dubai Police, which is keen to launch initiatives and programmes for the happiness of both internal and external communities.
The initiative targets about 7,000 staff at all public departments and Dubai Police stations, supplying them with fresh outfits and accessories, besides special discounts from sweet shops, fruits delivery services and other services aimed at their convenience and also for their families, during the Eid Al Adha period.
Major General Mohammed Saad Al Sharif, assistant commander for Administration Affairs, stressed that the Dubai Police are keen to promote happiness and optimism in the force, keeping with the country's strategy to boost overall happiness in the community, making it a way of life and an approach rooted in police work.
Al Sharif added that the initiative is in recognition of the efforts of ordinary policemen, who work constantly to people's safety, even during official holidays and other occasions.
The event was attended by Brigadier General Ahmed Mohammed Rafi, director-general of the Human Resources Department, bringing in the employee happiness programme before Eid Al Adha.
The Executive Council is cooperating with the Ministry of Happiness and the Dubai Smart Office to launch and implement this and other happiness initiatives.
