Dubai announced on Tuesday the extension of working hours for certain commercial activities within the emirate effective immediately in a further relaxation of restrictions imposed on trading and business activities as part of Covid-19 coronavirus lockdown.

Dubai Economy said in a circular that working hours for money exchanges, building maintenance and related suppliers, air conditioning, and cooling equipment repair and maintenance services were to be extended from 8am to 8pm daily.

In emergency cases, building maintenance and air-conditioning repair service providers can operate even after 8pm. The circular stressed strict adherence to precautionary health measures, such as sanitisation and social distancing.

A week ago, Dubai relaxed trading restrictions of some select retail categories including meat, fruits and vegetables, roaster, mills, nuts, chocolates and sweet, fish, coffee and tea by allowing to operate between 8am and 8pm daily.
