Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Healthpoint and Imperial College London Diabetes Centre (ICLDC) have announced that they are now resuming regular services. The Mubadala Healthcare providers are resuming, in full or part, of their normal services, while making patient safety the priority in all decision making.
Earlier, the Abu Dhabi Media Office announced that Mediclinic hospitals in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain are free of Covid-19 cases.
Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, Senior Vice President at Mubadala Healthcare, says: "We are delighted to be offering a broad spectrum of medical services to the community again. Many of our patients had routine appointments, tests, and elective surgeries postponed during the height of the outbreak, so we are pleased to resume these services that are essential not only from a preventive health standpoint, but for the patients' comfort levels too.
"Since the outbreak started, we have allocated a great deal of time and resources to implementing effective safeguards that have put us in our current position where we can offer patients our broader range of services with complete peace of mind."
All institutes at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi have been able to resume their complete service lines, while Healthpoint is scheduling elective surgeries and outpatient services, and ICLDC is welcoming more patients for face-to-face consultations and express phlebotomy services.
In addition to following best practices for personal protective equipment (PPE) and implementing the highest international sanitisation standards, stringent protective measures are in place across all three healthcare providers' facilities as they resume services.
These measures include limiting the number of visitors and spacing appointments at intervals for sanitisation of all surfaces and equipment between each patient; temperature checks at patient entrances - or in the case of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, thermal cameras at all entry points; rearranging facilities and seating to allow for physical distancing; complete segregation of any Covid-19 patients if they are treated at the facility; and regular screening of all healthcare workers and staff.
All three of the patient-facing Mubadala Healthcare providers will continue to offer teleconsultations and home deliveries of medications alongside their on-site services.
