The award highlights the work done by the legal team to ensure that Dubai is the 'first choice' for international leisure and business travellers, and to drive diversification and economic growth in the emirate.
The fifth edition of the Corporate Counsel Middle East Awards, an annual event that celebrates the achievements of in-house and private practice lawyers and recognises excellence in the legal field for the region, was recently jointly hosted in Dubai by London-based Legal Week and the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Middle East group.
"Dubai Tourism is delighted to be bestowed with this honour. A judging panel comprising legal leaders selected the Dubai Tourism legal team as winners in the 'Legal Department of the Year - Large Team' category from a list of numerous contenders consisting of leading private and government sector entities.
The Corporate Counsel Middle East Awards also honoured winners in several other categories.
Commenting on the award, Sahia Ahmad, general counsel of Dubai Tourism, said: "Dubai Tourism is delighted to be bestowed with this honour. The achievement is a testament to the exceptional talent of our staff and demonstrates our commitment to implementing and upholding international best practices with the aim of showcasing Dubai as a hub for excellence."
