Sharjah Autism Center (SAC), affiliated to Sharjah City for Humanitarian services (SHCS), organised an awareness programme titled 'Be with me in My world' on Saturday to mark the autism week.
The programme includes edutainment activities which aimed educating families about important of early detection of autism among children.
The autistic students of the centre displayed their art works in an exhibition at Sharjah Archaeological Museum on Saturday, opened by Manal Al Attaya, the director of the museum.
Speaking to Khaleej Times. Haithem Al Hayari, Director of the Sharjah Autism Center, said that there would be lectures and workshops on family guidance for dealing with autistic children. The centre also organised sports championship for its students and other activities that please the students and their families.
