Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA) has opened Al Mushrif Children's Specialty Centre in Abu Dhabi, which is being operated in affiliation with Shaikh Khalifa Medical City and Mafraq Hospital.
Al Mushrif Children's Specialty Center is the first of its kind in Abu Dhabi city and the second in SEHA's network of ambulatory care centers after SEHA opened Al Towayya Children's Specialty Center in January. Since the opening, Al Towayya has seen approximately 12,000 patients.
Currently open from Sunday to Thursday 8 AM to 4 PM, Al Mushrif Children's Specialty Center provides a wide range of children's specialty services provided by high caliber, experienced consultants.
These specialties, which will be gradually introduced at Al Mushrif Children's Specialty Center, include: general pediatrics, infectious diseases, dermatology, endocrinology, nephrology (kidney diseases), ophthalmology, ear nose and throat, pulmonology, surgery, down syndrome clinic, dental, cardiology, immunology and allergy, neurology, orthopedics, rheumatology, gastroenterology, psychiatry, psychology.
The center, which is equipped with the latest state of the art medical and diagnostic equipment, also provides a wide range of family medicine and supportive services which include general medicine, well child clinic, women's health, chronic disease clinic, screening, weqaya screening, nutrition clinic, vaccination, laboratory, x-ray, and pharmacy and physiotherapy.
Dr Mariam Buti Al Mazrouei, Acting Chief Executive Officer at AHS, said: "The opening of Al Mushrif Children's Specialty Center is the next step in SEHA's plan to provide accessible specialty services within the reach of the community in line with the slogan 'Specialty Services a step away' and follows the success of Al Towayya Children's Specialty Center in Al Ain."
"The opening of Al Towayya Children's Specialty Center in Al Ain was met with excitement and commendation from the community, whom expressed their happiness at having pediatric specialty services in a healthcare center.
"We worked hard to attract the highest caliber experienced consultants from our strategic partners, Shaikh Khalifa Medical City and Mafraq Hospital," she noted.
In line with its continuous endeavor to provide easy access to its high quality services, SEHA has established its centralised call center 80050 to allow patients to book appointments and have their enquiries for any of SEHA's hospitals and healthcare centers.
