Flexible work arrangement offers benefits like easing traffic congestions and cost savings, say experts
Abu Dhabi University (ADU), which is set to open its doors to students in September this year, has said that it is committed to delivering superior quality programmes and upholding the enduring value of education and has dedicated necessary resources for securing local and international accreditation.
ADU will offer students academic programmes through seven different colleges - Business Administration, Computer Science and Information Technology, Education, Engineering and Applied Sciences, Arts and Sciences, Shariah and Law, Medicine and Health Sciences.
ADU said that the choice of the fields of specialisation offered by its colleges was based on a pilot study that involved 8,000 people, who participated in an opinion poll concerning the establishment of the required fields of study.
It pointed out that based on the results of this pilot study, ADU will start with the first three colleges mentioned during the first year, adding that a variety of programmes will be offered within the main fields of specialisation including the programmes that lead to the Higher Diplomas, Bachelor's Degrees, Post-Graduate Diplomas, Master's Degrees and the Doctorate of Philosophy. The varsity will also offer additional academic, technical and professional programmes after studying the emerging needs and requirement priorities in the market.
