It was a dream come true for little orphans Obaid, Saeed, Saif and Ameenah, when they were offered a free weekend stay at five star hotel Al Ghurair Arjaan by Rotana in Deira. The four kids could be seen running with joy around the hotel property as their mother sat in the hotel lobby looking happily at them.

The orphans are sponsored by the Beit Al Khair Society that runs several charitable projects to help the needy, low-income families and orphans. But the unusual yet beautiful part of this initiative was that a five-star hotel, running on almost full occupancy, decided to offer its services to these orphans in a bid to bring some happy moments in their lives.
It was a luxurious staycation for the kids as not only did the hotel staff spread the red carpet for them in terms of pampering them with unlimited food and drinks but also they were offered an excellent room for their complimentary stay, along with access to the swimming pool and fine-dining restaurants.
"The orphans together with their mother spent a memorable weekend at Al Ghurair Rayhaan by Rotana, utilised the temperature-controlled swimming pool at Bodylines Fitness & Wellness Club and had breakfast buffet, 'Little Chefs Family' brunch buffet & dinner buffet at the all-day dining, Liwan restaurant," said Marie Bernadette Ortiguerra, Assistant Director of Marketing & Communications, Al Ghurair Arjaan & Al Ghurair Rayhaan by Rotana, Dubai.
Al Ghurair Rayhaan and Al Ghurair Arjaan by Rotana located in Deira, Dubai will be hosting several 'Family Weekend Get Aways' on its premises as part of their annual corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Talking about this 'community engagement' initiative, Marie explained that this is a one-year initiative where the hotel is inviting different non-profit organizations to come and experience its hospitality and services free of cost. "This is our way of giving back to our society," she added.
After the successful opening of Al Ghurair Rayhaan and Al Ghurair Arjaan by Rotana in December 2012, the hotel started organising CSR activities to give back to the community.
Over the past 3 years, the hotel has had different CSR activities such as sponsoring families from national disasters, Rotana Earth, charity events, sustainability project such cost saving energy and implemented innovative initiatives that made a difference to the staffs, owners and the hotels itself.
"Our aim is to give simple joy to the family and make them feel how beautiful life is despite their hardships. And I feel we were able to accomplish this as the kids and their mother left the hotel with big smile on their faces," added Marie.
