Visit the National Museum
The National Museum in Muscat is now open to visitors and aims to ensure Oman's heritage is understood and appreciated within the Sultanate and recognised internationally. The 13,700-sqm building includes 4,000 spm of exhibition space and is dedicated to 12,500 artifacts from Oman dating back to the prehistoric era.
Drop by at the Grand Mosque
The Grand Mosque is breathtakingly rich and has the second largest single piece prayer carpet in the world weighing 21 tonnes. With stunning interiors and minarets, the mosque is Muscat's premier tourist attraction.
Watch the opera
The Royal Opera House is a leading art and culture organisation in Muscat and showcases some of the most impressive performances from world-class ballets to famous jazz shows.  It also includes a cultural market with retail and luxury restaurants to create a wholesome visitor experience.
