Roughly 3,670 trees - that's 30.5million sheets of paper, which would amount to 145tonnes - have been saved in the past 10 years, according to 'GreenParking', a green technology provider in the Middle East.
Moving away from the standard paper tickets have gone a long way in cutting consumption across the world.
Also, going paperless has been on the top of UAE's sustainability agenda.
Sam Alawiye, Managing Director, GreenParking, said: "Thirty million sheets of paper isn't a small amount. To put it in to perspective, it would weigh around 145 tonnes, which is nearly two thirds of the Statue of Liberty - and that's only by installing the technology in 100 locations across the UAE".
The installation of environmentally-friendly access media, such as ParkChips, Contactless Entry Cards and Long-Range Cards are being used in over 100 locations across the country.
These include Emaar Square, Emaar Boulevard Plaza, Emaar Gold & Diamond Park, The Beach by Meraas, Emirates Towers, Business Central Towers, JBR Murjan and Sharjah International Airport.
Earlier this year, 41 federal entities have shifted 96.3 per cent of the 337 most important day-to-day services to m-Services, since the Smart Government initiative was launched in May 2013.
