Two minor road accidents took place due to the thick fog in Ajman. Fortunately, no one was injured in these mishaps.
Colonel Khalid Mohammed Al Nuaimi, director of traffic and patrol department at Ajman Police General Command, said that during the period of fog - which lasted from Saturday evening until Sunday morning - there were only two minor accidents which did not cause injuries to anyone in the emirate of Ajman.
He added that Ajman Police have intensified traffic patrols due to the fog, and roads are being monitored to ensure smooth traffic flow in various parts of the emirate.
He called on motorists to be careful while driving their vehicles amid dense fog and poor road visibility. The drivers are advised to reduce speed, leave enough distance between vehicles, stand off the road in the absence of visibility and use dim lights, he added.
