In a fitting tribute to the UAE's first astronaut Hazza Al Mansouri, a total of 11,443 UAE school students of 21 nationalities set a new world record by forming the largest human image of a rocket on Thursday.
The student and staff of Pace Education Group were awarded a new 'Guinness World Record of Largest Human Image of a Rocket', as a tribute to express solidarity with the UAE's space ambitions. The record was set by 11,443 students from five Pace Group institutions at the Pace International School in Sharjah.
"Hazzaa AlMansouri's remarkable visit to space has undoubtedly kindled the desire of many aspiring astronauts to embark on a journey towards space," said chairman of Pace Group Dr PA Ibrahim Haji. This official attempt to the Guinness World Record is the first of its category to form the largest image with students from five schools in the UAE and was witnessed by the official adjudicator, Shefali Mishra, from Guinness World Records.
Students from Gulf Asian English School Sharjah, India International School Sharjah, Pace International Sharjah, Delhi Private School Ajman and Pace British School Sharjah were among the participants.
