Authorities in Abu Dhabi have seized 1.5 tonnes of niswar, a banned tobacco product, from an unlicensed factory in the emirate.
Four men found at the factory have been arrested.
Raw material and equipment being used to make niswar have also been seized from a 'lab' in the makeshift factory. All items have been documented and will be destroyed.
The raid was carried out by Abu Dhabi Police in coordination with the Department of Municipalities and Transport, and the Abu Dhabi Waste Management Centre (Tadweer), police announced on Twitter.
The illegal business was allegedly being run by some Asians, who will now be referred to the public prosecution, the statement added.
Brigadier Mohammed Suhail Al Rashdi, Director of the Criminal Security Sector at Abu Dhabi Police, warned of the adverse impact of niswar, both on people and the society. He also urged people to report any suspected activities to the authorities.
"Community cooperation enhances combating crime in all its forms," said Al Rashidi.
