Two Arab nationals were seriously injured in a car fire on Tuesday in Sharjah's Al Majaz area.
The Iraqi and Syrian men received serious burn injuries after a fire erupted in their car - parked in Al Majaz area opposite Starbucks.
According to a top official at Sharjah Civil Defence, they were alerted about the incident at around 11:17 am, with firefighters rushing to the scene in less than two minutes.
They managed to put out the fire in 10 minutes, preventing it from spreading to other cars parked in the same area.
The fire caused damages to one car parked on the right side of the gutted car. The two men were rushed to Al Qasimi Hospital where they are currently receiving medical treatment in ICU.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
The case was handed over to the forensic department to investigate the incident.
