As part of its plans aimed at increasing means of its service fee payment, the SMS parking service will be effective from today.
Municipality Director-General Riyadh Abdullah Aylan said the municipality is seeking to use the advanced technology in facilitating the fee payment for the customers and save their time.
The option of paying through the parking meters will continue in all parts of the city as additional option of payment. Public parking users can pay the parking fees by sending SMS that includes the plate number and the intended time of parking to 5566. For extending for another hour, the customer should send “Y” to 5566.
He said the service is available in English and Arabic. Public can obtain more information about the services by calling the toll free number 600522005 or text the word “help” to the number 5566.
