A Filipino national - who perished in the Dubai tourist bus accident that claimed 17 lives during the Eid holidays - has been identified.

Marie January Ventura Gallardo,37, was an Omani resident and was on her way to Dubai during her Eid holidays to see her relatives.
Her younger brother reached Dubai on Sunday night to take care of the formalities required to repatriate her mortal remains. Marie, a mother of two, had started work in Oman as a physiotherapist just a year back. She hailed from a town called Jones in the north of Manila.
