Motorists were caught in unexpected traffic blocks on Al Ittihad Road, Emirates Road and Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road as low visibility slowed down the traffic movement, causing congestion.
On Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road, the long queue of traffic that starts near Safari Mall in Sharjah Industrial area is extended up to Muhaisnah in Dubai. Images on Google map showed very slow traffic on Al Ittihad Road from Sharjah’s Al Taawun area to Hor Al Anz East in Dubai.
Traffic authorities in Dubai have urged motorists to exercise caution while driving on fog. “Low visibility in case of fog reduces your sense of vehicle speed. We advise you to lower speed and use fog lights for your safety and that of others on the road,” the Roads and Transport Authority tweeted.
