13 workers were injured in an accident along Dubai's Second Zabeel Road. The command and control Room of the General Department of Operations received a report about and accident involving a car rammed a tree on the Second Zabeel Road at 5:38am
The police immediately deployed patrols and the search and rescue team of the General Department of Transport. A rescue team also rushed to the scene and found that the accident took place when the driver of the minibus lost control, which led to the vehicle veering off from the road and hitting a tree.
The accident injured eight workers, five others received minor injuries. Authorities also managed to pull out a worker who was trapped under the van by using hydraulic cutters.
All the workers were transported to Rashid Hospital for treatment.
The incident was attended by Brigadier Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Razzuqi, Director of General Department of Transport and Rescue and Ahmed Bourguiba, Deputy Director of the Department of Search and Rescue.
