The company — India’s largest handset maker in terms of units shipped — also simultaneously started its operations in Oman, Kuwait and Qatar.

The company said its handsets would be aimed at the youth.Micromax has signed agreements with local firms to be their official distributors — 2020 Mobile for the UAE, Molecules Group of Companies for Oman and Jumbo Electronics for Qatar and Kuwait.
Notable features of Micromax’s handsets include a battery life of up to 30 days, motion sensor games and the ability to act as a universal remote control for televisions, air conditioners and others.
The company also recently launched its operations in Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Micromax said that the prices of its handsets would range from Dh129 to Dh599.
