If you are a Liverpool fan and want to play football 'the Liverpool way' then what are you waiting for, just rush to their representative office in Al Barsha, Dubai, and enroll yourself for their coaching programme.
The office was opened on Sunday by Dan White, Head of Soccer Schools worldwide for Liverpool FC at a function that was also attended by Nisal Mohammed, Programme Director, Pesco, the local sports and events management company. The youth coaching project for ages between 7 and 15, which will initially focus on schools in Dubai, is scheduled to start in mid-October and will be conducted under the supervision of coaches from Liverpool (UK).
Speaking exclusively to Khaleej Times, Dan White said, "We provide youngsters with an opportunity to learn to play the Liverpool way. The participants will be coached by LFC coaches and not only that they will take part in the same coaching sessions that are delivered at our academy back in Liverpool.
"At the academy our focus will be on developing players in the technical, physical, psychological and social aspects of the game. Not only will they develop their game on the pitch, they will also learn valuable life skills which they will be able to apply in life off the pitch as well," White added.
Elaborating on why Liverpool chose Dubai as their base, he said, "As a club we are fortunate to have many fans around the world, and the UAE is no different. There is certainly plenty of interest in football in Dubai and also a willingness to learn and develop, which we will harness in our coaching sessions."
