If you've lived in Dubai long enough, you'd know that the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF) is the foundation of all the festivities that has ever graced the city. DSF is one of the biggest events in the emirate where malls come alive with mesmerising performances and interactive shows, while retail outlets roll out exclusive discounts on the latest gear, ranging from fashion and accessories, to electronics and household items. The citywide deals will officially kick off on December 26, and SHE's here to tell you about the trends of this season.

Leggings and pants

Faux leather leggings are hot stuff, literally. They're perfect to keep your legs warm, while you step out for errands or get ready for a festive gathering in the great outdoors (socially distanced, of course!). This huggable fashion gear is super easy to style with a warm sweater and boots, topped with a blazer.

Skirts and shorts

The varieties are endless; show off toned legs with a side slit cut, opt for a high-waist pleated A-line to take attention off wide hips, or go for pencil skirts to show off an hour-glass figure. For shorts, try the paperbag style with a belt. Both are easy to pair with quirky t-shirts or monotone tank tops, tucked in with statement heels or flat top sneakers.

Dresses

Pulling off a dress in this material is no easy feat, but it's not impossible either. It's edgy and can be topped up for a mean look, or even turned into a feminine affair. Dainty earrings, handbag with a scarf, fashion belt or even knee-high faux leather boots can give you a gorgeous killer look!

Jackets

Iconic and versatile, this is the season for a faux leather jacket to shine. With so many designs out there, it's an investment to keep warm and cosy, while looking effortlessly chic. Don't be shy to mix and match colours. Try reds and even mints with black or beige bases. Jackets go well with both skirts and pants, so let your imagination run wild!

Boots

Anything goes. Ankle or knee-high; zipper or laces - get your Charlie's Angels vibe on with a standard black and brown pair that go best with jeans, skirts, dresses and leggings. Experiment with cream and beige styles and keep in mind to match your footwear with your arm candy and hair accessories.
