Warning for UAE beachgoers in harrowing video

The Sharjah Police have issued an advisory video for beachgoers in UAE with regards to the safety of children.

Police posted a video on social media depicting a situation on how a moment of distraction can cost parents their child's life. It also shows how a moment of negligence can lead to parents almost losing their child.

The video urges parents to keep a watch on their children - when at the beach - to avoid any unfortunate incidents.

Sharjah Police had also earlier called on the public to follow safety instructions at beaches, avoid swimming in dangerous areas, monitoring weather conditions - as well as urging them to immediately report any emergencies.

The warning came following the death of an Asian at a beach in Sharjah in May 2019.
