An interactive map that will be launched next week will let Sharjah residents make suggestions and proposals to enhance public services. The Sharjah Government Media Bureau's Sharjah Events will launch the map called 'Tomorrow's Sharjah.how do you see it?' at the International Government Communication Forum (IGCF) that will run on March 20-21.
The interactive platform is designed to act as a bridge between residents and government institutions and organisations in Sharjah in an effort to elicit public feedback and develop the places and sites that appear on the map.
"The initiative is part of Sharjah's vision to build a better tomorrow for our future generations and to foster a culture of innovation by making the public part of the decision making process in developing the emirate and its various projects and initiatives," said Hessa Al Hammadi, manager of the government communication department, Sharjah Government Media Bureau.
The map, which will be displayed on a large screen at the IGCF venue at Expo Centre Sharjah, features various cultural, artistic and tourist attractions of the emirate.
Additionally, Sharjah Events will host a contest, which will allow the contestants to design an electronic game that bears the emirate's identity and future vision from the perspective of the youth. The competition encourages contestants to create video games and electronic tools that can serve in the fields of education, human development and empowerment, creating an atmosphere of positive competition among participants.
