The Dubai Municipality on Wednesday warned the public not to use the Faiza beauty cream since it contains ingredients harmful to humans.
The product hasn't been registered in the database of producers either, the municipality warned.
In a post on Instagram, the department of health and safety of the Dubai Municipality said the cream contains hydroquinone, which is found in prescription drugs, along with mercury, which has a toxic effect on humans.
The municipality has also asked the public to report the product if they see it in the market, along with any advertisements or pamphlets that they may come across, by calling the number 800900.
