Danat group to open two new hotels
Danat Hotels and Resorts is planning to open two new hotels in Abu Dhabi as part of expansion plans in the emirate.
Hotels division manager Walid Nicholas Harouni said that Century hotel apartments includes 60 luxury apartments, while the Danat Residence comprises 190 flats, adding that they would be opened before the end of 2014. “We have many other hotel projects in the emirate including one to add 30 villas and 100 apartments to our Danat Jebel Dhanna,” he said.
He also noted that nearly 70 per cent of Danat’s services meet needs for business tourism and conferences, and that they already account for 30 per cent of the group’s business. He said that the group continued to perform well, achieving an occupancy rate of 83 per cent last year. “This rate is relatively high and we expect it to increase further this year,” he said.
