Homegrown coffee chain Barista's Corner recently hosted an event in partnership with Italy's Dalla Corte, in which stakeholders gathered to learn about the latest trends for the drink a senior official dubbed as 'liquid gold'.
The Coffee & Talks event featured workshops, keynote presentations and coffee education and experience activities, as well as a latte art show and informal conversations.
The event was an initiative of Barista's Corner executives Abdulla Al Abdulla, its partner and co-founder, and Mohamed Hassan Alshamsi, its managing partner and co-founder.
"The Coffee & Talks Dubai event is a venue for us to bring people who are passionate about coffee together, create a shared experience and to celebrate this liquid gold in all its brews, flavours and aromas," said Al Abdulla, who is also chief operating officer of Central Hotels, which owns the C Central Resort The Palm where the event was held.
The coffee chain currently has three shops across the UAE - all within Central Hotels hotels - with plans to open more in the operator's future properties.
"We are proud to bring this Coffee & Talks concept to life as drinking coffee with friends is much more than just enjoying that jolt of alertness. When we get together over coffee, we create a special bond, we relax, we laugh, we share stories and we all partake in a culture of sharing and discovery," Alshamsi added.
Marco Libonati, who is responsible for sales in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East markets at Dalla Corte, shared the brand's plans moving forward.
Baristas' Corner's coffees are handpicked, with its single-origin beans and blends selectively sourced from sustainable farms and roasters including countries like Brazil, Columbia, Ethiopia, Guatemala and many more. It is also the exclusive distributor of Dalla Corte's espresso coffee machines in the region.
