A key contributor to the results was the Inkjet Multifunctional Centres (MFC) category, where Brother Gulf has recorded an 87 per cent growth in the second quarter of 2008.

The announcement follows Brother Gulf’s recent participation at GITEX Dubai where it launched the world’s first A3 colour inkjet MFC — the MFC 6490CW.

In the Middle East, Brother Gulf is continuously developing new technologies to incorporate more innovative and high-technology features within its products.

Brother Gulf has registered 95 per cent growth in the second quarter of 2008 for its MFC business.

Brother Gulf also has plans to aggressively price its laser printers, Digital Copier-Printers and MFCs at the entry level, shift from single-function laser printers to MFCs, encourage the use of Brother genuine consumables and promote inkjet MFCs with power retailers in a bid to accelerate its regional growth.
