The power they wield is used to serve their own interests and not as an instrument to bring about a perceptible change to better society’s lot. I hope that Akbar, who is closely associated with the media, has understood the mindset of politicians.
Let us hope the change helps make people the priority at a time when corruption has replaced good governance and is creating corrupt lawmakers. I look forward to seeing how the intellectual community can change the prevailing perceptions about politicians.
