This is the second consecutive year that Meydan is the title sponsor of one of FEI’s most prominent competitions, where a total of 10 countries competed in the first round with France currently in first place with 10 points. The current standings are: 1. France: 10, 2. USA: 7, 3. Germany: 5.5, 3. Great Britain: 5.5, 5. Spain: 4, 6. Ireland: 3, 7. Switzerland: 2, 8. Sweden: 1, 9. Netherlands: 0, 10. Poland: 0. The 2010 Meydan FEI Nations Cup takes place over the next three months, and will feature prestigious national Jumping teams competing at eight of the best venues throughout Europe, with a final event at the world famous Dublin Horse Show. The remaining events are: Rome (ITA), May 28; St Gallen (SUI), June 4; Rotterdam (Ned), June 18; Falsterbo (SWE), June 9; Aachen (GER), July 15; Hickstead (GBR), July 30 and Dublin (IRL), August 6.
Mohammad A Nasser Al Khayat, Commercial Director of Meydan, said: “Meydan participating as the title sponsor of the Meydan FEI Nations Cup for the second consecutive year reaffirms the mutually beneficial relationship we have established with FEI since the 2009 season.”
