Shaikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, took part on Thursday in the joint meeting between the GCC Foreign Ministers and the United States (US) Secretary of State John Kerry and British Minister for the Middle East and Africa Tobias Ellwood.
The meeting, presided over by the Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al Jubeir, was attended by the United Nations (UN) Special Envoy for Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, and the GCC Secretary-General, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in Yemen and the current efforts to bring about peace there.
The GCC ministers renewed support to the UN envoy's efforts to reach a consensus on a road map, in the lead up to a comprehensive political and security solution in Yemen, in compliance with the UN Security Council Resolution 2216, the Gulf Initiatives and the outcome of the national dialogue.
