Three specialised novel coronavirus (Covid-19) testing facilities will open up in Dubai by next week that will be able to conduct the test in anywhere between one and five minutes, an Arabic daily reported on Friday.
In an interview with Al Bayan, Humaid Al Qatami, Director General of the Dubai Health Authority confirmed that two of the specialized testing centres will be drive-through facilities, while the third one will be a high-tech Covid-19 testing laboratory.
The two drive-through centres will be located in Al Khawaneej and Port Rashid, while the testing laboratory will be located in Al Nasr Club.
Al Qatami said that the Covid-19 testing laboratory will provide safe and quick testing to ensure safety of the service provider as well as the patients.

He also pointed out that all the three testing centres will be equipped with highly-trained medical staff to provide the best services for the residents and citizens based matching international standards.
Al Qatami said the drive-through testing centres will give priority to people with symptoms of the virus, the elderly, people with chronic diseases such as high blood-pressure, diabetes etc and pregnant women.
Tests at the centres can take up to five minutes and will be conducted while the patient is seated in their car.
The drive through centres will remain open all seven days a week from 8am to 8pm daily and can conduct 600 tests a day.
