All set for Nationals Monthly tourney
DUBAI - The UAE Nationals Monthly Tournament, organised by the Emirates Golf Federation, will be held at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club on Saturday, November 26, a press release said.
The first of the five-event series, which concludes in April next year, will see leading Emirati golfers go all out to establish the early advantage. The series will have its own Order of Merit and the top finishers could well stake claims to places in the UAE national team.
The tournament will follow the individual stableford format with a full handicap allowance. The player shooting the best gross score of the day will also be honoured.
“The number of Emiratis playing golf has increased manifold over the years and it made a perfect sense to have a separate Order of Merit for them,” said Saeed Albudoor, general manager of EGF.
