North Korea, Iraq face AFC sanctions
An Asian Football Confederation official says Iraq and North Korea face possible sanctions for refusing to bring a player to Monday’s Asian Cup news conferences.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he is not authorized to speak about the matter, says a complaint has been filed with the AFC disciplinary committee. He could not say what sanctions the teams would face and it was unclear why the teams only sent a coach to speak to the media.
