New reports reveal that the 39 immigrants who died in Essex were found naked or partially clothed and left bloody handprints on the inside doors.
According to The Sun, the bloody handprints must have been caused by the stowaways banging on the door for help. The bodies being naked may be attributed to the phenomenon of 'paradoxical undressing', where those freezing to death undress because they feel as though they are burning.
The bodies closest to the exit were reportedly foaming at the mouth and 'were in the early stages of rigor mortis'.
The news comes after reports that some of the victims were Vietnamese nationals, one of whom sent heartbreaking texts to her mother hours before she died.
