A contractor lost his life after he was crushed to death at a construction site in Ras Al Khaimah.
The 40-year-old Sudanese engineer was supervising a villa being built in the Al Rifa'a area. One of the workers at the scene moved a crane near some bricks which had not set properly, as per an Al Khaleej report.
The bricks ended up toppling over, crushing the man beneath.
He was transferred to the Khalifa Specialty Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Funeral prayers were held on Monday night at Diwan mosque. He will be buried in his home country.
