A worker who threatened to kill his boss for salary hike has been sent to jail in Sharjah.
The Sharjah Sharia Court of First Instance has sentenced the Asian worker to six month in jail for threatening the Indian owner of his company with a knife.
The accused told the court that the Indian owner and his family were in the company, and so he attacked them to cause a panic.
The Indian owner of the company identified the accused at the Sharjah Sharia Court of First Instance and testified that he had no dispute with the worker.
He told the court presided by Judge Dr Yaqoub Al Hamadi that the compatriot worker threatened him without any provocation when he visited his office along with his family.
According to the owner, the accused asked him to hike his salary and solve salary issues of other workers.
The complainant also told the court that two other workers damaged the office furniture and computers before they locked them up in the office and fled the scene.
He called the police officials who arrived immediately and release them, the court told.
Earlier, during the court hearing the defendant denied the accusation.
