Sharjah - A driver burnt to death after two trucks went up in flames in a horrific traffic accident in Sharjah. According to the Sharjah Police, the accident was reported early on Saturday on Emirates Road.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the deceased, an Afghan, was responsible for the accident, “as he was not paying attention to the road while driving”, the police said.
“It seems that the driver was not dedicating his full attention to the road while driving. His truck hit a speeding car ahead of him being driven by an Indian, following which the truck veered off the road and burst into flames. It crashed into a truck parked on the side, which also went up in flames,” a police official said.
The Afghan driver died on the spot, the official added.
