Ajman Police have arrested three Asians on charges of growing marijuana plants in a farm located in Ajman.
Lt. Col. Saif Khalifa Al Muhairi, Director of the Department of Drug Control, said that they received a tip-off that three suspects were cultivating marijuana on the farm where they worked.
After confirming the information, the police formed a team from Anti-Narcotic Department who raided the farm and found three plants of marijuana drug. These plants stood at a height of one meter and were hidden among the trees. The police arrested the three suspects inside the farm.
During interrogation, the trio confessed that they grew marijuana for trafficking it outside the country. The case was referred to the public prosecution for legal action.

Lt. General Shaikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuiami, commander in chief of Ajman Police, hailed the efforts of Anti-Narcotic Department and appreciated its role in combating drug abuse.
Ajman Police have called on the need to step up efforts to root out drug menace by spreading awareness and warning all members of the society about the serious fallout of drug abuse and its legal consequences.
